1 Furthermore3063 then3767 we beseech2065 you, brothers,80 and exhort3870 you by the Lord2962 Jesus,2424 that as you have2192 received3880 of us how4459 you ought1163 to walk4043 and to please700 God,2316 so you would abound4052 more3123 and more.3123

3 Denn1063 das5124 ist2076 der Wille2307 Gottes2316, eure5216 Heiligung38, daß ihr5209 meidet567 die575 Hurerei4202,

3 For this5124 is the will2307 of God,2316 even your5216 sanctification,38 that you should abstain567 from fornication:4202

4 und2532 ein jeglicher1538 unter euch5216 wisse1492 sein1438 Faß zu behalten2932 in1722 Heiligung38 und Ehren5092,
|
4 That every1538 one of you should know1492 how to possess2932 his vessel4632 in sanctification38 and honor;5092

5 nicht3361 in1722 der2532 Lustseuche wie2509 die3588 Heiden1484, die von GOtt2316 nichts3361 wissen1492;

5 Not in the lust3806 of concupiscence,1939 even2532 as the Gentiles1484 which3588 know1492 not God:2316

|
6 und2532 daß niemand3361 zu1722 weit greife5233 noch übervorteile seinen Bruder80 im Handel4229; denn1360 der HErr2962 ist2532 der Rächer1558 über4012 das3956 alles, wie2531 wir euch5213 zuvor gesagt4277 und2532 bezeuget haben4122.

6 That no3361 man go5233 beyond5233 and defraud4122 his brother80 in any matter:4229 because1360 that the Lord2962 is the avenger1558 of all3956 such,5130 as we also2532 have2192 forewarned4277 you and testified.1263

7 Denn1063 GOtt2316 hat2564 uns2248 nicht3756 berufen2564 zur1909 Unreinigkeit167, sondern235 zur1722 Heiligung38.

7 For God2316 has not called2564 us to uncleanness,167 but to holiness.38
|
|
8 Wer nun5105 verachtet114, der2532 verachtet114 nicht3756 Menschen444, sondern235 GOtt2316, der seinen Heiligen40 Geist4151 gegeben1325 hat1325 in1519 euch2248.

8 He therefore5105 that despises,114 despises114 not man,444 but God,2316 who has also2532 given1325 to us his holy40 Spirit.4151

9 Von4012 der846 brüderlichen Liebe5360 aber1161 ist2192 nicht3756 not5532, euch5213 zu1519 schreiben1125; denn1063 ihr5210 seid2075 selbst von GOtt gelehret euch untereinander240 zu lieben25.

9 But as touching4012 brotherly5360 love5360 you need5532 not that I write1125 to you: for you yourselves846 are taught2312 of God2312 to love25 one240 another.240

10 Und2532 das1063 tut4160 ihr846 auch an1722 allen3956 Brüdern80, die3588 in1519 ganz3650 Mazedonien3109 sind. Wir ermahnen3870 euch5209 aber1161, liebe Brüder80, daß ihr noch3123 völliger werdet4052.

10 And indeed1063 you do4160 it toward1519 all3956 the brothers80 which3588 are in all3650 Macedonia:3109 but we beseech3870 you, brothers,80 that you increase4052 more3123 and more;3123

11 Und2532 ringet danach, daß ihr5213 stille seid2270 und2532 das Eure schaffet und2532 arbeitet mit2038 euren2398 eigenen2398 Händen5495, wie2531 wir5389 euch5216 geboten3853 haben4238,

11 And that you study5389 to be quiet,2270 and to do4238 your2398 own2398 business,2398 and to work2038 with your2398 own2398 hands,5495 as we commanded3853 you;

12 auf daß2443 ihr ehrbarlich wandelt4043 gegen4314 die, die draußen1854 sind, und2532 ihrer keines3367 bedürfet5532.

12 That you may walk4043 honestly2156 toward4314 them that are without,1854 and that you may have2192 lack5532 of nothing.3367

13 Wir wollen2309 euch5209 aber1161, liebe Brüder80, nicht3756 verhalten von4012 denen, die3588 da2532 schlafen2837, auf daß3363 ihr2309 nicht50 traurig3076 seid wie2443 die andern3062, die keine3361 Hoffnung1680 haben2192.

13 But I would2309 not have you to be ignorant,50 brothers,80 concerning4012 them which are asleep,2837 that you sorrow3076 not, even2532 as others3062 which3588 have2192 no3361 hope.1680

14 Denn1063 so1487 wir glauben4100, daß3754 JEsus2424 gestorben599 und2532 auferstanden ist450, also3779 wird GOtt2316 auch2532, die846 da entschlafen2837 sind durch1223 JEsum, mit4862 ihm2424 führen71.

14 For if1487 we believe4100 that Jesus2424 died599 and rose450 again,450 even so3779 them also2532 which sleep2837 in Jesus2424 will God2316 bring71 with him.

15 Denn1063 das5124 sagen3004 wir2249 euch5213 als ein1519 Wort3056 des HErrn2962, daß3754 wir, die3588 wir leben2198 und überbleiben in1722 der Zukunft3952 des HErrn2962, werden5348 denen nicht3364 zuvorkommen, die3588 da schlafen2837
|
15 For this5124 we say3004 to you by the word3056 of the Lord,2962 that we which3588 are alive2198 and remain4035 to the coming3952 of the Lord2962 shall not precede5348 them which3588 are asleep.2837
|
|
16 Denn3754 er846 selbst, der1722 HErr2962, wird mit1722 einem Feldgeschrei2752 und2532 Stimme5456 des Erzengels743 und2532 mit1722 der Posaune4536 Gottes2316 herniederkommen2597 vom575 Himmel3772, und4412 die Toten3498 in1722 Christo5547 werden auferstehen450 zuerst.

16 For the Lord2962 himself846 shall descend2597 from heaven3772 with a shout,2752 with the voice5456 of the archangel,743 and with the trump4536 of God:2316 and the dead3498 in Christ5547 shall rise450 first:4412

17 Danach1899 wir2249, die1519 wir leben2198 und2532 überbleiben, werden726 zugleich mit260 denselbigen hingerückt werden2071 in1722 den Wolken3507 dem3588 HErrn2962 entgegen529 in1519 der Luft109; und werden also3779 bei4862 dem846 HErrn2962 sein2071 allezeit3842.

17 Then1899 we which3588 are alive2198 and remain4035 shall be caught726 up together260 with them in the clouds,3507 to meet529 the Lord2962 in the air:109 and so3779 shall we ever3842 be with the Lord.2962
